About our Wait List
When enrollment demand exceeds available space, prospective families who have completed the application process are added to our Wait List. Gardenview emphasizes maintaining a balanced classroom environment. We seek that balance by taking into consideration the distribution of a number factors which you may have highlighted in your application. When a spot becomes available we will look to our Wait List for a child whom we determine most closely matches the vacancy, and which builds on the continuity and state of balance in our classrooms.
What this means for prospective families is that your place on the Wait List is not determined solely by “your place in line” but rather how well, at the time of placement, your child fits the criteria of our needs for a balanced classroom environment. Your spot on the Wait List will continue into the following year if you have not been placed.
About our Classrooms
Children between 18 months and 3 years old are eligible for admission to the Sprout class (toddler program) and do not need to be potty trained. Class is for 2 1/2 hours each morning. Three, four, and five day schedules are available. Children must be 18-months old by September 1st to be considered for enrollment.
Morning and Afternoon Programs: Children between 3 and 6 years old are eligible for admission into the Bean class (preschool program) and must be able to use the bathroom independently. Class is for three hours with a choice between the morning session, or afternoon session. Three, four, and five day schedules are available. Children must be 3 years old by September 1st to be considered for enrollment. Children younger than 3 years must apply for approval through an evaluation by the Beans lead teacher and school director.
Full Day Program: Five and six year old children are eligible for our full day program based on their ability to demonstrate readiness and independence to participate in a full day schedule. After lunch, the full day children continue to work with advanced Montessori materials in small group settings. Here the children can build on the skills and information acquired in the morning to work more independently and in greater depth.
Lunch Bunch: Lunch Bunch is a great opportunity for children in our programs to enjoy meal time together, continue conversations from the morning program, or ease into the day for our afternoon program. A limited number of spaces are available in our morning or afternoon programs to add Lunch Bunch to the schedule. Children who are part of our full day program are automatically enrolled. Children who participate in Lunch Bunch bring a lunch from home.
Snack: In each of our classes children have an opportunity to enjoy a snack , usually fruit or vegetables and some type of grain.

parent volunteer program
Our desire to build strong connections between home and school is not just a “feel good” idea. By being involved, parents serve as role models for community service. To help each child succeed and allow parents to lead by example we have created several ways for parents to participate and easily fulfill a family requirement of volunteer hours each year. The Parent Volunteer Program is designed to give each family an option to contribute a hours each school year to help defray the costs of hiring additional assistants to help maintain a quality program. Families are asked to commit to 10 hours of volunteer time over the course of the school year. While we would love to see every family take part, we understand that not all families can afford the additional time commitment. In lieu of the volunteer hours each family has the option of paying a fee of $100. Volunteering ensures the fullest benefits of a Montessori education for your child and provides a tangible means for each adult to contribute to that goal.
