ADMISSION:
Sprout Class : Children between 18 months and 3 years old are eligible for admission to the Sprout class (toddler program) and do not need to be potty trained. The Sprout class is open to all children age 18 months to 3 years and runs 4 mornings per week for 2 1/2 hours each morning. Your child may join the Sprout class for a minimum of 3 days per week.
Bean Class: Children between 3 and 6 years old are eligible for admission into the Bean class (preschool program) and must be able to use the bathroom independently. The Bean class is open to children age 3 to 6 years old and is three hours long, with a choice of three, four or five days per week. Five and six year old children are eligible for a full day program based on their ability to demonstrate readiness and independence to participate in a full day schedule. The full day children need to bring their own lunch. After lunch, the full day children continue to work with advanced Montessori materials in small group settings. Here the children can build on the skills and information acquired in the morning to work more independently and in greater depth.
Children have an opportunity to enjoy a snack during each session, usually fruit or vegetables and some type of grain. The purpose of Gardenview Montessori School is to provide a quality education to children of all nationalities and religious denominations.
